hello users ...

solution;-
we know that :
potential energy  = mgh

where,
 m is the mass of body ,
g is the acceleration due to gravity
 and
h is the height at which the body is placed.

According to given :
potential energy(mgh) = 40 Joule

height = 10 meter
and
Acceleration due to gravity(g) = 10 m/s²

putting the values....
=> m * 10 * 10= 40

=> m = 40 / 100 = 0.4 kg Answer

# hope it helps :)

GIVEN -

height=10m

Acceleration due to gravity=10m/s²

potential energy=40J

TO FIND -

mass=?

SOLUTION-

we know that

potential energy=mgh

40=m×10×10

m=40/100

m=0.4kg

so the mass of the ball is 0. 4kg
