A ball is dropped from a balloon going up at a speed of 7 metre per second. if the ball was at a height 60 M at the time of dropping the ball, how long will the Ball taken in reaching the ground?

here is your answer

initial velocity = 0 (as ball is dropped from some height)
final velocity = 7 m/s
height = 60 meter
time taken = ?
g = 9.8 = 10 m/s²(approx. value of g
so, by the second equation of motion,

s = ut+1/2gt²
60 = 0+1/2*10*t²
t² = 60/5
t² = 12
t = 3.46seconds

s=ut+(at^2)/2

60=(0*t)+(10t^2)/2
60=(10t^2)/2
120=10t^2
12=t^2
