After that it again falls down resulting in increased in in kinetic energy and decrease in potential energy. This occurs simultaneously and hence the motion is in simple harmonic motion.

No....it's not a simple harmonic motion because after each bounce, the height of ball changes and so does the Potential energy(mgh).....

Hence, the total energy is not conserved.
