A ball is dropped from a height of 12m and it rebounds 1/2 of the distance it falls .if continues to fall and rebound in this way how far will it travel before coning to rest

The Distance it would travel would be Infinite.

It is because The total distance would be
12 + 6 + 3 + 1.5 + 0.75 + 0.375 + 0.1875 .......

This would never end since the ball will travel the half of the original distance and 0 is not the half of any Number. Hence the Ball although with negligible height, would keep on bouncing forever and ever and ever.
