As we know the eqn of motion
V² - U² = 2aS
Since its dropped then the initial velocity must be zero ,
U=0
V²=2aS
a=acceleration due to gravity
V²=2gS
V²=2x9.8x5
V²=98
V=98^½
V=9.8m/s
V² - U² = 2aS
