Let H be the height of the building and t be the time to fall through the height H.

Then,

</em></strong><strong><em>H</em></strong><strong><em> =  \frac{1}{2} g {t}^{2}

 = 5 {t}^{2} .........(1)

In (t-1) second, the distance travelled is 1-0.36

=> 0.64= H

0.64h = 5( {t - 1})^{2} ..........(2)

 \frac{(2)}{(1)} gives \: 0.64 =  \frac{( {t - 1})^{2} }{ {t}^{2} }

or \: 0.8 =  \frac{(t - 1)}{t}

Solving we get, t= 5 sec.

Using (1) we get H = 125m.
