V= U + gt

V=final velocity=?

U=Initial velocity=0

g= acceleration due to gravity=9.8 m/s^2

t= Time=1


V=U + gt

V=0+9.8×1

V=9.8 m/s

In 1 second the ball travels=15 m.

Speed of the ball=15m/s

The rate of accleration from 0 to 9.7 takes a total of 9.7 seconds. So height of the tower = 15×9.7= 145.5 m
