Answer:

GIVEN:

HEIGHT- 125m

g - 10m/s^2

initial velocity -0

time- ?

using second equation of motion-

h=ut+ 1/2gt^2

125= 0*t+1/2*10*t^2

125= 0+1/2*10*t^2

125= 5*t^2

125/5=t^2

t^2= 25

t=5 sec

{ \red{ \underline{ \underline{ \huge{ \mathfrak{given}}}}}}

distance (s) = 125m

initial velocity (u) = 0

acceleration(a) = 10 ms-2

{ \red{ \underline{ \huge{ \mathfrak{to \: find}}}}}

{ \huge{time}}

{ \red { \underline{ \huge{ \mathfrak{formula}}}}}

{ \huge{s \:  =  ut \frac{1}{2}  {at}^{2}}}

{ \red{ \underline{ \huge{ \mathfrak{solution}}}}}

125 = 0 t + 1/2 (10 t²)

125 = 5 t²

25 = t²

taking square root

t = 5
