a ball is dropped from a tower of height 20 m calculate the time after which the ball will strike the ground .taking the acceleration due to gravity as 10 m/s square.​

We have,

height, s = 20m

Initial velocity, u = 0 m/s

acceleration, g = 10 m/s

By using,

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

v^2 = 0 + 2×10×20

v^2 = 400

v = 20 m/s

Now using,

s = ut + 1/2 gt^2

20 = 0×t + 1/2 × 10×t^2

20 = 5 t^2

t^2 = 4

t = 2 seconds
