Given :-

A ball is dropped from height h. after 1 second another all is dropped from same point.

To Find :-

What is the distance between them after 3 seconds from when the first ball dropped?

Solution :-

We know that

s = ut + 1/2 at²

s = 0(3) + 1/2 × 10 × (3)²

s = 0 + 5 × 9

s = 45 m

Now

New time = 3 - 1 = 2 sec

s =  ut + 1/2 at²

s = (0)(2) + 1/2 × (10) × (2)²

s = 0 + 5 × 4

s = 20 m

Now

Distance between them =  45 - 20 = 25 m
