Explanation :- here you should understand a important thing that trajectory of motion of ball in case of free falling will be straight line. Because body falls just vertical direction . and if we draw graph of trajectory of it in x-y co-ordinate system then, graph will be straight line parallel to y - axis.
Now, we have to understand why option (a) is correct ?
Actually , in free falling body , initial velocity = 0
and acceleration acts towards the centre of earth.
so, distance travelled by body , S = -1/2gt² [ here negative sign shows body moves downward ]
now, differentiate it , dy = -gt.dt
or, |dy| = at.dt
what you observed , when body falls from top to ground , speed of body increases rapidly. this means , means, body sperated more rapidly in same time of intervals . That's what option (a) shows . Firstly speration increases from top to ground. Hence, option (a) is correct
