thus to find the distance fallen in x² seconds

s1 = 4.9(x²)² = 4.9 x⁴


and same as distance fallen in x³ seconds

s2 = 4.9(x³)² = 4.9x^6


thus distance fallen in x² second = 4.9x⁴
and distance fallen in x³ second = 4.9x^6
