A ball is dropped from top of a building. It accelerates uniformly at a rate of 10m/s2
.


Find the height of the building if the ball hits the ground with a speed of 20m/s.
please explain the answer​

Explanation:

acceleration,a=10m/s^2,

final velocity,v=20m/s,

initial velocity,u=0 m/s, #it is at rest in top.

now using the formula,v^2-u^2=2aS.

where, S=height of the building.

(v^2-u^2)/2a=S,

S={(20)^2-(0)^2}/2*10,

S=(400/20)meters,

S=20 meters.

therefore,height of the building=20 meters.
