A ball is dropped from the top of a tower in the high-speed wind. The wind exerts a steady force on the ball. The path followed by the ball is (d) straight line

  • we know that x = ut+1/2* at^{2}
  • Here initial velocity u = 0
  • therefore the equation becomes 1/2* at^{2}
  • as the ball dropped from the tower here a is equal to the g the gravitational constant
  • after dividing both the equation 1/2* at^{2} and  1/2* gt^{2}
  • we will get y= n*x where n = constant
  • and it is an equation of straight line hence, the answer will be a straight line.
