A ball is falling from 600 meters. Find out the potential energy at 400 meters and also find out the kinetic energy when the ball was travelling half of the height and the mass of the ball is 20 kg

Total Energy = Kinetic Energy + Potential Energy

At 600m,

Potential Energy = m×g×h= 120000

Speed = 0 (*falling from 600m)

Kinetic Energy= ½m×v² = 0

Total Energy = 120000 + 0 = 120000J

At half height, 300m,

Total Energy = 12000J

Kinetic = 120000 - 20×10×300 [*Total- mgh]

= 12000-60000 = 60000 J = 60 kJ
