Explanation:

Given:-

  • initial velocity = u
  • final Velocity = v
  • a= 10ms-²
  • time taken = t
  • Height from the ground = 20m

To find:-

Velocity to strike the ground.

Time taken to strike the ground.

Solution:-

Using, Third law of equation

→ v²-u² = 2as

→ v² = 2as+u²

→ v² = 2(10)(20)+0²

→ v² = 400+0

→ v² = 400

→ v = 20

Therefore, the final Velocity is 20m/s.

→ a = (v-u)/t

→ t = (v-u)/a

→ t = (20-0)/10

→ t = 20/10

→ t = 2

Therefore, the time taken to strike the ground is 2 second.
