a ball is launched from a 300m cliff and lands 380m away from the cliff in 9 seconds. calculate the initial speed and angle of the ball when it was launched.

Over three seconds it will have fallen 3 x 48 = 144 feet - the height of the cliff. As calculated above its vertical velocity at impact is 96 feet per second. Therefore in three seconds it will have moved a horizontal distance of: 3 * 55.42 =166 feet.
