The bodies are released from different height so they will take different time. Let the ball released from height hreaches the ground in t s. And the ball released from height 2h reaches the ground in t/ s. The acceleration due to gravity is g.
->. using the equation
s=ut+1/2at^2
->for the ball released from height(h)
h=0+1/2gt'^2
t'=√2×2h/g=√2×√2h/g=√2×t
-> for the ball released from height (2h)
2h=0+1/2gt^2
The ratio of the time taken is ,
t/t'=t/√2t=1√2
Hope this will help !!☺️
