A ball is thrown from height h and another from 2h. What is the ratio of time taken by the two balls to reach ground?

Hi..

If both balls are thrown with same vertical speed and one from height h and another from height 2h then,
Time taken to reach the ground ∝ √(H)
[∵ T = √(2H)/g]

T1 / T2 = √(H1 / H2)
= √(h / (2h))
= 1 / √(2)

Ratio of time taken is 1 : √2
