A ball is thrown horizontally from a point "A"travels along a straight line and strikes the wall to a point "B" which is at a distance of 10m, and rebounds to the same point "A" in 8sec Find the average speed and velocity of the ball

Explanation:First, average speed= total distance / total time taken

Hence, distance=10m ×2=20m    total time taken=8sec.     average speed = 20/8=2.5m/s.            Average velocity= total displacement / time taken.  displacement=10m and time taken = 8sec........... 10/8=1.25m/s.......................

Explanation:

Distance = 20 m (A to B and B to A )

Displacement = 0 (A to A )

keeping the values in formula

= Average speed = total distance/ total time = 20/8 = 5/2 = 2.5m/s2

= Average velocity= displacement/ total time = 0/8 = 0
