A ball is thrown in vertically upward direction with a velocity of 72 km/hr Calculate the height attained by the ball and total time it takes to comr back to the ground level.

Assumption:g = 9.8m/s sq. holds true(maximum height reached is small compared to the radius of earth)

Velocity of the ball at maxmium height is zero,v = 0

v sq.- u sq. = 2aH

0- (49)sq. = 2 ×(-9.8)×H

H = 122.5 m

v = u+ at

0 = 49 - 9.8t

t = 5s..

Total time taken by ball to return surface,T

T = 2t = 10s
