here we use law of conservation of energy

which means, the initial energy i.e. only kinetic energy is converted into potential energy at the top

so

kinetic energy= Potential energy

1÷2(mv^2)=mgh

or 1÷2(v^2)=gh

1÷2(v^2)=10×180

v^2=3600

taking square root both sides

v=60m/s

hence the initial speed of ball is 60 m/s
