A ball is thrown upward with a speed of 15m/s. Find the distance travelled by the ball in 2s.

According to kinematical equation

S= ut + 1/2 a (t)^2

S= displacement

u= initial velocity

t= time taken

a= acceleration of object

Therefore

S= 30 + 1/2 (-10)4

-10 is because ball is going upward and acceleration is downward

S= 10 m

So distance travelled = 10 m
