To Find :

▪ Maximum height attained by the ball.

Concept :

☞ Since, acceleration due to gravity acts continuously throughout the motion, we can easily apply equation of kinematics to solve this type of question.

☞ For a body thrown vertically upward, g is taken negative.

☞ Third equation of kinematics :

❍ v² - u² = 2as

Where,

v denotes final velocity

u denotes initial velocity

a denotes acceleration

s denotes distance

Calculation :

→ v² - u² = 2as

→ (0)² - (15)² = 2(-10)H

→ 0 - 225 = -20H

→ H = 225/20

→ H = 11.25m
