Hii friend,

We know that,

Acceleration= velocity/time

velocity= acceleration ×time

Time of returning =4-2

=2 secs
velocity=10×2

velocity= 20m/s.

Hope this helps you a little!!!

Shreya268: the ans is 20m/s
saka82411: now it is correct

Answer:

Explanation:

Here g=10m/s^2 is retardation, time taken to return to the thrower=4s,it means it take 2s to go up and 2s to go down.we know that V=u+at,take final velocity=0 and a=-10m/s^2 and t=2s.therefore,0=u-10*2m/s,u=20m/s.Hence velocity will be 20m/s.
