A ball is thrown vertically up ward with a velocity of 40m/sec, then what is the maximum height attained by the ball and the time taken by the ball to reach that
height. If acceleration due to gravity is 10m/s²

Maximum height reached by the ball is given by the formula

 {u}^{2}  \div 2g

So by putting the value of u in expression we get

40*40=1600

1600/2g

80 metre

Time taken is given by

U/g

So 40/10=4

4 seconds
