A ball is thrown vertically upward from the ground and takes 2.5 seconds to reach its maximum height.
Find,
1 .the velocity with which it was thrown up,
2 .the maximum height reached by the ball, 3 . the height it reaches above the ground in 2.0s,
4. the height of the ball after 4 seconds from the ground, and the total time of the flight of the ball.

Answer:

Explanation:

main concept is that at maximum height its final velocity is zero

1.u=gt

u=10*2.5=25

2.u^2=2gH

H=u^2/2g

H=25*25/20

H=31.25 m

3.H=ut-1/2gt^2

H=25*2-(1/2)*10*4

H=50-20=30 m

4.H=1/2*gt^2

H=1/2*10*(4-2.5)^2

H=1/2*10*1.5*1.5

H=11.25 m

and time of flight=2u/g=2*25/10=5 seconds
