A ball is thrown vertically upward it reaches up to a height 15 and returns back to the thrower hand calculate the total distance and displacement​

Given,

Height till ball reached, h = 15 m

The given height is the distance covered by the ball in upward direction so distance will be same for downward direction.

Total Distance = 15 + 15

= 30 m

Displacement is the shortest path between final and initial points, it is calculated by subtracting initial position from final position. And according to the question initial and final points are at same distance or we can say that they are the same points.

Displacement = 15 - 15

= 0
