Given,
Initial Velocity (u) = 120 m/s
Acceleration due to Gravity (g) = 10 m/s^2
Since,
=> v^2 = u^2 +2gh
=> 0^2 = (120)^2 -(2 x 10 x h)
=> 0 = 14400 - 20h
=> 20h = 14400
=> h = 14400/20
=> h = 720 m
Now,
Height of mid point = S = h/2 = 720/2 = 360 m
Again,
=> v^2-u^2 = 2gs
=> v^2 - 14400 = 2 x (-10) x 360
=> v^2 = (14400-7200)
=> v^2 = 7200
=> v = 60 x 1.414 m/s
=> v = 84.6 m/s
