v = 0 m/s
t = 8 sec
as, v = u +at
⇒0 = 60 +8a
⇒a = - 7.5 m/s²
now, v² - u² = 2as
⇒(0)² -(60)² = 2×(-7.5)×s
⇒15s = 3600
⇒s =240 m
