A ball is thrown vertically upward with velocity 35m/s find its distance and displacement in the 4th second, take g = 10m/s².​

v=0...(as its in upward motion)

a=-g=-10 m/s^2...(it is in opposite direction of gravity)

t=4seconds

To find:Displacement(s) and distance(d)

s=ut+1/2at^2

s=35(4)+1/2×(-10)×4^2

s=140+(-5)×16

s=140-80

s=60 m

But ball is thrown vertically upward so

Displacement and distance covered by it in 4 seconds is same.

Therefore displacement and distance is 60 m
