A ball is thrown vertically upwards at an initial speed of 23m.s-1. What is the distance travelled by the ball 3 seconds after it was thrown?

Answer:

s = ut + 1 /2 gt^2

= 23 m/s * 3 s + 1/2*10*3^2

= 69 + 45

= 114 m

the distance travelled by the ball is equal to 114 m .
