A ball is thrown vertically upwards from the ground with a velocity of 39.2 meter per second . Calculate
-
( a) The maximum height to which the ball rises.
( b ) The time taken by the ball to reach the highest point.

First For (b)
we'll take a= 9.8m/s^2
applying this v =u + at
=> 39.2= 0 + 9.8t
=> t = 39.2/9.8 = 4 sec ANS
For (a)
applying h = 1/2gt^2
h = 1/2*9.8*4*4 = 78.4 ANS
