A ball is thrown vertically upwards from the top of a tower with a initial velocity of 19.6m/s.
The Ball reches the ground after 5s . calculate :
(i) the height of the tower.

(ii) the the velocity of ball on reaching the ground .

Time of flight =5 s

Time of assent + time of decent =5

( therefore time of assent = time of decent)

Time of assent +time of assent =5

2(time of assent) =5

Time of assent =5/2=2.5

H= ut-1/2(gt^2)

H=(19.6)(2.5)-(1/2)(9.8)(2.5×2.5)

H=18.375 m

Height of tower is 18.375m

When it reach the max height it has u=0

And v=u+at

V=0+(9.8)(2.5)

V=0+
