Initial velocity - 20m/s  Final Velocity - 0m/s Total time taken to strike the Earth - 5s Acceleration - -10m/s Total distance covered or height - 2as= v2 - u2 That is, 2(-10)(s) = 0 - 400 -20s= -400 S = 400/20 S = 20m Velocity with which the object hit the ground= 2as= v2 - u2 Take,  Initial velocity = 0m/s  Distance = 20m  Acceleration = 10m/s Thus,  2(10)(20)= v2 - 0 400 = v2  V = √ 400 V = 20m/s
