A ball is thrown vertically upwards. It returns
6 s later. Calculate : fit the greatest height reached
by the ball, and if the initial velocity of the ball,
(Take g = 10 m s^)

time taken for maximum height=6/2=3s

we know

v=u+at

0=u+ (-10)3

u=30m/s

and

s = ut + 1 \div 2at {}^{2}  \\  \:  \:  = \: 30 \times 3 + 1 \div 2 \times 10 \times 3 \\   \:  \:  \:  = 105m
