10 m/s must be the initial velocity of the ball

let maximum height = 3x meter
so, v at xmetr = 8m/s
a = -9.8m/s²( gravitational )
by__ v² = u²+2as(at x metrs)
u² = 8 +19.6x m/s
by - v²=u²+ 2as (at highest point)
x = 8/40.2 m
so, speed of body at initial point
= 12m/sec. ANS..
