SOLUTION :-
When the Ball is thrown vertically upwards, then the Velocity of the Ball keeps on decreasing because of the Force of Gravity of Earth acting on it in the Downward Direction; So, the Acceleration produced in the Ball is Negative and hence, it is to be written with a Minus sign

Distance Travelled (Here, the Height Attained) (s) = x m
Using the Third Equation of Motion, (i.e.), , we get -
