A ball is thrown vertically upwards with a velocity of 80 m/s at an angle of 30 degrees to the horizontal. find it's velocity after 1 second.

Horizontal component of velocity ,
V = ucos∅
= 80 × cos30°
= 40√3
Vertical component of velocity ,
V = usin∅ - gt
= 80sin3)° - 10 × 1 = 30

Hence, velocity vector , V = 40√3 i + 30j
V = √( 4800 + 900)
= 10√57 m/s
