A ball is thrown vertically upwards with an initial velocity of 40m/s.what is the velocity of the ball on striking the ground

by :-

v= u+at

while upward motion:-

v = 0 , u = 40

0 = 40-gt

t = 4 sec

now, for downward motion :-

u = 0 t = 4

SO, V = 0 + g(4)

so , v = 40 m/s
