Answer :

Initial velocity = 20m/s

Acc. due to gravity = 10m/s²

We have to find time taken by ball to reach the ground.

★ For a body thrown vertically upward with an initial velocity u;

  • Max. height reached = u²/2g
  • Time of ascent = u/g
  • Total time of flight = 2u/g

⭆ T = 2u/g

⭆ T = 2(20)/10

⭆ T = 40/10

T = 4s
