A ball moving on a horizontal surface stops after sometime without applying any force. why? answer in short.....​

Force of friction is the force that develops at the surfaces of contact of two bodies and impedes (opposes) their relative motion. because of friction. As the surface is not inclined or bent towards any side, the ball stops moving.
