Initial velocity of the ball

u1 = i

Initial velocity of the wall

u2 = 0

Final velocity of the ball

v1 = j/ 2

Final velocity of the wall

u2 = 0

e = (v2-v1)/(u1-u2)

e = (0-(1/2))/(1-0) = -0.5

Answer:

The Answer is K = 4

Explanation:

cos theta = 1/2 sin theta [The wall is frictionless]

= tan theta = 2

Coefficient of Restitution along line of force,

e = (1/2cos theta) ÷ (sin theta)

e = 1/2tan theta = 1/4

 \frac{1}{k}  =  \frac{1}{4}  \\ \\  k = 4
