A ball of diameter 15 cm is floating so that the top of the ball is 5 cm above the smooth
surface (water) of the pond. What is the circumference in centimeters of the circle
formed by the contact of the water surface with the ball?​

It's not really that great a depiction but your ball should look something like this. The circumference you need is equal to 2πr. All you need now is to find the value of r.

Simple Pythagoras Theorem:

2.5^2 + r^2 = 7.5^2

which gives:

r = 7.071067811865475 cm.

Substituting this value in 2πr you get circumference equal to 44.42883 cm.
