A ball of mass 0.5kg is thrown up with a velocity of 15m/s. Find its potential energy at the highest point. [Take g=10m/s].

the highest point(H) the ball reaches = u^2/2g

u = 15m/s
g = 10m/s^2

therefore H = 15× 15/ 20

= 11.25 meters

potential energy = mgh

= 0.5 × 10 × 11.25

= 56.25 J
