S1. As conservative forces are only available so, by applying conservation of mechanical energy
k.e)1+p.e)1=k.e)2+p.e)2
1/2mv1^2+mgh1=1/2mv2^2+mgh2
h1=0 v2=0
v1=5m/s. m=10kg
so, mgh2=1/2(10)(5)
mgh2=25joule
h2 is max height
