A ball of mass 100 grams is moving with a velocity of 10 M per second is stopped by a boy in 0.2s calculate the force applied by the applied to stop the ball

Given :

u = 10 m/s, v = 0, m = 0.1 kg, t = 0.2 s

v = u + at

0 = 10 + a(0.2)

-10 = 0.2a

-10/0.2 = a

a = -50

Force = mass x acceleration

f = 0.1 x -50

f = -0.5 N
