a ball of mass 100g falls from a height of 100m on the ground. find the momentum of the ball transferred to the ground if it experiences acceleration of 10m/s^2 in forward direction

velocity at just before touching ground (final velocity) is given by

v ^{2}  = u ^{2}  + 2as

as  \: u = 0

v  ^{2}  = 2as

v { }^{2}  = 2 \times 10 \times 100 \\ v {}^{2}  = 2000

v = 44.72 \\ momentum = mv \\

m = 0.1 \times 44.72 \\ 4.472kgm \div s
