Given,

m = 100g = 0.1 kg

u = 72 km/hr => 20 m/s

v = 144 m/s => 40 m/s                                          

ΔK.E = \frac{1}{2}m( v^{2}- u^{2} )  [ ΔK.E - change in kinetic energy ]

ΔK.E = \frac{1}{2} 0.1(1600 - 400 )

ΔK.E = \frac{1}{2} 0.1 ( 1200)

ΔK.E = 60 J
