m = 100gm = 0.1kg

u = 10 m/s

v = - 10 m/s [ direction changes]

from impulse momentum theorem

I = change in momentum

I = m[v-u]

I = 0.1[-10-10]

I = 0.1 X -20

I = -2 N/s

Answer:

The impulse  is -2 N-s.

Explanation:

Given that,

Mass m = 100 gm

Initial velocity u = 10 m/s

Final velocity v = -10 m/s

Impulse is the change in momentum.

Using formula of impulse

I = m\Delta v

I = m\times (v_{2}-v_{1})

I = 0.1\times(-10-10)

I = -2\ N-s

Hence, The impulse  is -2 N-s.
